Slack is one of the the primary modes of communication for Flatiron programs - these workspaces are where you will connect with your classmates and instructors during your Flatiron School course.

Flatiron hosts three Slack workspaces to support our community across the various stages of the learning journey:

1. Flatiron Community workspace

The Flatiron Community workspace brings together our past, present and future students. This is our biggest community and one that fosters new connections and inspires individuals to make big changes - in their careers and in their lives.

How to join:

Join the Flatiron Community today by clicking on this invitation link!

2. Flatiron School workspace

The Flatiron School workspace is home to all currently active students across campuses and online, and is the primary platform for students to communicate with their instructors and classmates about the curriculum content.

How to join:

If you are enrolled in a full-time or part-time cohort:

You'll receive an invite to join our Flatiron School Slack workspace in the week before your first day of school. Be sure to set up your account and join your cohort channel (which will start with "online-" and end with your start date "-MMDDYY").

If you are enrolled in a self-paced program:

You'll receive an invite to join our Flatiron School Slack workspace via email during your first week in the program. Be sure to set up your account and join your program channel (which will be #online-ds-sp-000 for Data Science students and #online-se-sp-000 for Software Engineering students).

3. Flatiron Alumni workspace

Flatiron Alumni is a dedicated workspace for graduates from across the Flatiron campuses and online programs in all disciplines. This space is a welcoming place to reconnect with old classmates, meet new people to build your network, and share career tips and resources. Graduates can join channels for alumni across our programs, including groups by city, by discipline, by topic, and more!

How to join:

Within one week of graduating from any Flatiron School program, students will receive an invitation to join the private Alumni workspace.
