Please note that students who join our free Coding Bootcamp Prep course after September 4th, 2018, will not have to worry about GitHub.com. We will teach you more about the platform and its usability as you join us in our paid programs. If you fall under this category and are having issues with cloning a lesson, please email email@example.com for assistance.
You may sometimes get an error saying
Cannot clone this lesson right now. Please try again.
If you see this error, check your permissions with github by typing in
ssh -T firstname.lastname@example.org. If you get back
Permission denied (publickey)., you'll need to add your SSH key to github.
If you got back something like
Hi <github-username>! You've successfully authenticated, but GitHub does not provide shell access. then your SSH key is properly setup and you should try manually cloning the lab using the
git clone command. (Note: You should use the SSH link instead of the HTTP link when cloning).
