If you would like to switch to the new V7 you may do so during the open track switching period from April 12th 2019 to May 15th, 2019. If it is after this period, please talk to your section lead about having them switch you over.

We highly encourage everyone to switch to the new material. We’ve rewritten our sections on HTML, CSS with a focus on HTML5 and modern styling, as well as our section on Git basics. We’re also cleaning up, reorganizing lessons, and removing outdated content.

To switch, please select the Curriculum tab on the top left. Then, select the Change button at the top. Finally, select the track titled "Full Stack Web Development V7".

Detailed Comparison of V6 and V7

We recommend you upgrade. While completion is important, capability in job interviews is far more important. Even if you're close to finishing V6's HTML / CSS material, investing the time to get to learn more up to date information will make you a better interview candidate.

V6 has 725 lessons in total. V7 has 681 lessons.

Most lessons are common between the two tracks. You will retain credit for these shared lessons if you completed them already, even if they have been reordered.

84 lessons are purged from this track. If you completed these labs, they will no longer count toward your progress toward graduation. Your percentage complete will likely be affected and LOWERED. We remove lessons that teach out-of-date practices, we consolidate lessons who more comfortably sit together, and we replace lessons that create high "Ask a Question" volume. We also replace duplicate content to help streamline our curriculum content.
